The Barnett Shale Water Conservation and Management Committee (BSWCMC) is an organization of natural gas companies that are working together to develop best management practices and identify technologies for the environmentally responsible management of water associated with the development of the Barnett Shale.

The Gas Technology Institute (GTI) is a not-for-profit Research and Development (R&D) organization. For more than 65 years, we have been the leader in the development and deployment of technology solutions that contribute to a secure, abundant, and affordable energy future. As such, we provide economic value to the energy industry and its customers, while supporting government in achieving policy objectives. GTI serves as the Managing Director of the BSWCMC. The GTI Standard Agreement forms the basis for company cost sharing and participation on the BSWCMC.
